The International Conference on Neurodiversity and Inclusion aims to bring together clinicians, therapists, educators, researchers, advocates, and policymakers to explore current evidence-based practices and challenges in the field of Neurodiversity. This conference will serve as a platform for exploring evidence-based practices carried out at the international level, which will help to identify innovative interventions, emerging research, and best practices in therapeutic approaches, rehabilitation, education, and community inclusion.
Areas of Focus
Focus on Lifespan
Neurodiversity is not limited to an individual’s childhood; the challenges and need for support continue well into adulthood. Difficulties related to independent living, maintaining relationships and vocation often emerge in later years. By shifting focus from early childhood to the entire lifespan, we highlight the importance of lifelong empowerment, advocacy and community participation. It is essential to ensure that neurodiverse individuals are supported to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives at every stage.
Adolescent Challenges
Adolescents with Neurodevelopmental disorders face challenges can lead to anxiety and other mental health concerns. These challenges are often compounded by a lack of inclusive support systems within educational settings and limited access to specialised mental health services. importance of neuro-affirmative approaches adaptive coping strategies, self-advocacy, and social connectedness. Interventions targeting executive functioning, identity formation, and emotional well-being
Inclusion and Employability in Neurodevelopmental Disorders
Specialised support, such as individualised education plans (IEPs) and early interventions, is essential to address learning difficulties, foster social skills, and promote overall development. However, mainstream education systems often lack the resources and adaptability needed for full inclusion. Collaborative efforts among educators, healthcare professionals, and families are vital in creating supportive learning environments. Job-related social skills training, supported employment models, and virtual vocational training environments have shown promise in improving outcomes.
Evidence-based Practices (EBPs)
EBPs play a crucial role in ensuring that interventions are scientifically validated, effective, and tailored to individual needs. Early identification, supported by standardised screening tools and developmental surveillance, significantly improves long-term outcomes. Innovations in neuroimaging, digital phenotyping, and AI-driven diagnostic tools are transforming how clinicians and researchers understand and address NDDs. Furthermore, culturally sensitive and contextually relevant practices are essential for the successful implementation of EBPs in low- and middle-income countries.

Vision
The Center for Neurodiversity Research and Innovation (CNRI) envisions a society in which every individual, regardless of neurodiverse profile, is accepted, included, and given evidence-based assistance and resources. CNRI strives to develop research, training, services, and community engagement through joint efforts between Binghamton University and Christ University in order to improve the quality of life for neurodiverse individuals and encourage greater understanding and inclusion in society.
Mission
At CNRI, our mission is to establish evidence-based research and innovations in practice that will improve access, reduce barriers, develop life-changing supports and training for individuals across the neurodiverse spectrum, thereby fostering a world where every mind is celebrated and included.

Christ Special School in Bengaluru is dedicated to empowering children and young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, helping them become independent and active members of their communities. Established by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) congregation, the school offers a functional-skills curriculum that combines academics, life skills, vocational training, and therapeutic support, including speech, occupational, and physiotherapy. With a strong emphasis on inclusion and community integration, Christ Special School ensures that students not only acquire essential skills for daily living but also experience meaningful interaction with their peers and society. Its holistic approach fosters confidence and independence, celebrating each student’s unique abilities.
At Stepping Stones Center in Bangalore, we work closely with children with developmental differences, particularly those on the autism spectrum. Our approach is evidence-based, grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and supported by a multidisciplinary team of professionals in speech therapy, occupational therapy, and behavioral intervention. What we find most meaningful is our focus on early intervention and inclusive education—helping children not only develop essential communication, social, and adaptive skills, but also successfully transition into mainstream schools. Through this work, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of neurodiversity and create environments where every child’s unique way of learning and engaging with the world is valued and celebrated.
